Today we remember and celebrate the life of Jena Thompson-a brilliant light, and a deeply compassionate human being. Jena, born August 17, 1967, and passed away peacefully in San Luis Obispo on July 14, 2025. She is survived by her son Camden McCulloch; her sister Leah; and her two nieces: Erin and Emerson. Those lucky enough to know Jena will remember her for her strength and vulnerability in equal measure. Jena’s presence was unmistakable: joyful and wise. She was loved by many, an unforgettable presence—bright, curious, creative, and full of life. She was someone who truly lived—with passion, with purpose, and with a deep love for the people around her. She had an amazing ability to listen with grace and curiosity. Above all, she was incredibly proud to be a mother and deeply loved her son. Jena will be warmly remembered by all who knew her.
