Virginia Lou McNierney

Virginia Lou McNierney passed away Saturday September 16th, 2023 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood Co. She was 83 years old and suffered a broken hip a week prior. Lou (as she was affectionately known) was preceded in death by her Father Wayne Herbert Hales and her mother Virginia Ruth Sherman. She is survived by her husband Frank James McNierney, four sons and their families: Mike & Dawn McNierney, Jim & Robin McNierney, Kevin & Shelly McNierney and Chris & Carolyn McNierney, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and siblings Gini & Bill Rinker, Buck & Karen Hales, Traci & Patrick Hales-Vass, and Johnny & Barb Hales. She will be missed dearly by them and many other family and friends. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday October 12th, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Jude Catholic Church 9405 W Florida Ave, Lakewood CO 80232. There will be a reception following in the Community Center. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236 date TBD.
