Toby Henry O'Cana

Toby was born on June 19th, 1941 in Los Valdeses Colorado to Alonso and Sadie O’Caña. After graduating from Center High School in 1960, he married Barbara and joined the United States Marine Corp. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and he served his country proudly until 1965. He and Barbara were happily married for 63 years and had 5 children together; Bill, Joey, Shelley, Yvonne and Toby. They lived in California until he left the military and they moved to Commerce City Colorado. In 1984 they moved to Brighton Colorado and resided there until the time of his death. Toby spent many years working for the United States Mint as well as Continental Airlines at Denver International Airport. Toby was a hardworking man who loved his family, working on cars, fishing and horses. He also had a passion for weight lifting and was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers! He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather who will be forever missed.

Toby is preceded in death by his son Bill and his parents Alonso and Sadie. He is survived by his wife Barbara; his children Joey (Mary), Yvonne, Shelley, Toby (Kristie); his grandchildren Amanda, Steven, David, Jarrod, James, Savannah, Toby; and his great grandchildren Nevaeh, Unique, AveryLynn, Alyssa, Penelope and Leticia. A celebration of Life for Toby will be on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at the Elks Lodge in Brighton from Noon to 5pm located at 101 North Main St. Brighton, Colorado 80601.
