Teryn Renee Benavidez

Teryn’s joy came from the time she spent with her family. She loved her children, adored her grandchildren and excitedly awaited the arrival of her grandson and great granddaughter. She loved her family unconditionally and was dedicated to caring for them in any way she could. Her nurturing, quirky and feisty disposition did not end with her passing and she is missed beyond measure.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Teryn Renee Benavidez of Arvada, CO (La Junta, CO). She left us peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 2, 2023. She was a fighter and gracefully, yet fiercely, battled her illnesses to the end. Among many other wonderful things, Teryn was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted sister and daughter. She is survived by her two daughters and their families, Talia and Tiana; five grandchildren and great granddaughter. Two Sisters, brother and step brother; Theresa, Tiana, Edward, Shane and her mother Stella.

In her youth, Teryn loved to play softball and swim. In more recent years, she was an expert commentator for Dancing with the Stars and the Denver Broncos. Teryn was a great cook, making delicious Mexican dishes for all of our family gatherings.

Her memory will live on as we honor Teryn in a memorial service held by the family.
