Stephanie was born to Hildred (Hallows) and Marion Woods on May 4, 1939, in Rocky Ford, CO where she was active in the Methodist Youth Fellowship at United Methodist Church. She had one older brother, Jim.
In high school, she was homecoming queen and graduated from Whitefish High School, MT in 1957.
She married LaVern Earl Dye and had three beautiful children in Kalispell, MT twin daughters, Jamie and Jeri (1969) and son, Douglas (1972). She was very involved with the Elks Ladies of Kalispell.
She worked as an insurance agent and office manager for many years. She moved to Colorado with Jamie and her family in 1999 to be closer to the Rocky Mountains again, which she so loved. She retired in 2014 at the age of 75 from Saxco Pacific Coast.
Stephanie was blessed with four grandchildren, Brianne & Tyler Jenkins (Jamie & Mike) and Natalie & Matthew Keith (Jeri & Chris). In 2023 she became a great grandma to Kaiden (Natalie & Jacob Fischer).
She had the most beautiful backyard that she took pride in. She loved gardening, painting, ceramics, needlework, and reading biographies or a good mystery. But spending time with her children and grandchildren is what brought her the most joy. She took pride in their varied accomplishments as they became adults.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jim (his wife Joan). Stephanie is survived by daughter Jamie, grandchildren Brianne & Tyler Jenkins, daughter Jeri & husband Chris Keith, grandchildren Natalie (husband Jacob and son Kaiden) Fischer & Matthew Keith, son Douglas Dye, three stepchildren, and her little dog Sadie Sue.
