Shirley Eddy-Hatfield

Shirley Eddy-Hatfield peacefully died on 4-16-23 in Greeley, CO. She was born in Kansas City Kansas to Edward P. and Eula Schindel on September 3, 1938. Shirley graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1956.

Shortly after, she married David W. Eddy of Kansas City, KS they had two sons, David and Michael (deceased). Shirley obtained her cosmetology license in 1971 and proceeded to own her own salon until 1977 when she was hired at the KCK Board of Public Utilities where she met the love of her life, Charlie Hatfield. They married in December 1989 & spent 12 happy years together until Charlie’s passing in 2001. She then decided to move to Greeley Colorado in 2010 to be near her son David, and spent her remaining years there. After moving to CO, Shirley joined several clubs and activities determined to build a new life.

Shirley was a wonderful mom, grandmother, sister, wife, caregiver and friend. She stayed true to her faith through all of life’s ups and downs, and loved her family gatherings most of all.

She is survived by her son David, her grandsons Ross, John, and David (Zolis) Eddy , 3 great-grandchildren Elijah, Kaius and Leo Eddy, sister Joette (Schindel) Carter, brothers Woody Schindel and Phil Schindel.
