Scott,

I have not spoken to you or your sister in many years but hearing of your loss has me floored. I will always cherish the times we spent together and all of the new music you introduced me to. I think it was you who actually introduced me to hardcore/metalcore and all that good stuff that became a large part of my adult personality. I remember that 240sx of yours that you had and you were so proud of. You were a kind soul. I am praying for your sister and mother during these difficult times. They, along with you, were very important to me many years ago.

I only knew Scott briefly, as a new mechanic. He was always pleasant to have around. Intelligent, industrious and patient. Like a wonder kid building something in the next room. I liked his approach to new tasks, his quiet, friendly attitude, his music and his clean, white toolbox, a sign of great housekeeping habits. 

When I said once out loud to no one in particular about cheese and pastry in the same sentence, Scott a new guy on the team; a voice from nowhere responded with, "Danish." Afterwards I would mutter "Danish," and Scott would look and grin.

To Scott’s family,
You don’t know me, but I knew Scott. We met a short time ago, but in that time we got to make many great memories together. So much, that I’m not just mourning the loss of him, but the loss of the future we might have had. Scott was kind, right off the bat- he didn’t even know me- but instantly made me feel like we were old friends.  The love of music- especially the band STS9 brought us together, but it was more that made me fall for him. He was kind, generous, honest, and helpful. When he made the trip out to California, I picked him up, and he stayed at my house. He was  gentleman from the start, and it was wonderful to connect with him again from the Atlanta trip. I was so excited to spend time with him. When I picked him up, I asked him if we could take HWY 1 to see better views- and he didn’t hesitate to agree. That was one of my favorite road-trips. He was co pilot and made sure the music was great, but also- we had conversations that made me feel connected to him. Sharing parts of our lives together, looking out at the winding road along the coast. We danced our butts off… it’s rare that I find a man who can keep up with me- but Scott was a PHENOMENAL dance partner. During the day we walked around and kept talking about… well, everything. I felt so comfortable! Scott was one of those guys who made you feel safe, and accepted. He made me feel loved. 
When I was having some troubles, he reached out first. We spent hours on the phone. We always texted… one time when we talked- he offered me a ticket out to Denver to see our band…so generous. 
I regret not taking that ticket- I was so worried about my board exams- and when we talked about it he understood, he supported my drive towards the future. He said “I feel like you want to tell me something”
I wish I had the guts to say it. I think he already knew. I really loved you Scott. More than friends- I loved you poetry, I loved your zest. I loved your dance moves, your silly socks. I love u

After a great weekend I already knew you were someone special. I just hoped we would get to see each other again. I remember when I sat in the front, and I was alone- then you came and put your arm around me. I felt like that solidified our friendship. Like we would always have this experience.

This silly balloons full of confetti- and your play list was perfect. I remember asking-“who is in charge?” And you reminded me you set up the link for everyone to add… but I was glad to hear what you put down.

You didn’t even know me, we all just wanted to see Sound Tribe- and then the concert was cancelled. What a bummer! But when everyone decided we should still keep our air bnb- I was excited to see my friends that I’ve known for 10-25 years. I knew everyone in that house- but you were the one who was willing to pick me up from the airport. Nobody else wanted to make the drive, but you did. The flight was so stressful, and you were patient. You told me that’s how planes go. You talked about being in school for flight mechanics. I felt the same struggle, being in school myself, and you encouraged me in my education. 
Even after all the strife and struggle of getting a new years plan together… when you picked me up in your giant truck- I felt rescued.
You were so handsome, I was trying to be cool. I thought, “Wow! Hubba hubba, who is this?!”
I didn’t know that you were an artist, a poet, a great chef…I didn’t know what an amazing dancer you were…that trip showed me everything I would start to love about you.

We went to the same high school and lived in the same neighborhood during those years. Those are some of the most memorable years of anyone’s life and I am glad Scott was part of mine. I remember him as being very smart and responsible and he was always in the mood for a laugh. Scott, his family, and close friends will be in my thoughts and I hope they can find peace moving forward.

I only met Scott last December (2022), but even then I could tell he was a kind soul. I met him at a Wilkinson show. He invited me to come along to see STS9 later that month. We bought each other tickets to shows, he was always inviting me to things, and he would check in often. He was clearly such an advocate for his friends and the people he cared for in his life. I'm sad that we lost touch over the last few months. I'm really disappointed that he left this Earth. We lost a good one.

First time meeting Scott after he moved to Colorado. We all went to Levitt to get down at Colorfields festival. 
We talked before his move and he was so excited to live in Denver. We also talked bikes.

I remember all the times you and Sam hung out. Great times & always thought you were a genius. Prayers for your family for God's peace. We'll miss you 😔.

So many memories growing up and the best man at my wedding. I am going to miss you Scott. You were always so kind and you made High School at BTW and College at Auburn such a blast. You will always be one of the best friends I ever had.

New Years 2022

They canceled our concerts but we didn't let that stop us! We flew in from different states across the country so that we can all be together, this is where I first met Scott.  Even though I am in NY, Scott had been a consistent part of my STS9 friend  group. I got to spend several shows with him in various states. Scott was a generous, caring person. He looked out for everyone and he gave to everyone he met. A unique soul who left us way too soon ❤️ 

Many condolences to the family and friends of Scott. He was a caring dude. Always made sure his friend were okay and checking  in. He had funky dance moves and shared those on the dance floor. He was passionate about music and sharing music. That's a huge love language. You are missed scott. Much love.
