Ronald Lee Rushing

Ronald Lee Rushing, born on June 12, 1943, passed away on Sunday night, May 27, 2018. He was 74 years old. In life, Ron suffered many personal losses: his parents, William and Evelyn; his brother, Billy; his sister, Joan; and his children, Rae and David. Through all of this, Ron remained strong and positive. His sense of humor and courage inspired everyone he came in contact with.

Ron proudly served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. Afterwards, he worked as an electrician. His family and friends will fondly remember him for his generosity. Ron was the type of person who would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need.

Ron is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wenna; daughter Rhonda; grandchildren Richy, Matt, Leeann, Hayden, Ronnie, Crystal, Gerald, Andrew, Mellisa, David, and Waylon; great-grandchildren Rylee, Brylee, Bryson, Colton, Alexis, Chrystine, Elizabeth, Shane, Rhiannon, Kenny, Owen, Kyra, and Zaila; and siblings Sandy, Denny, Jackie, and Dickie.

Family was of utmost importance to Ron. He is loved and will be greatly missed.
