With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ron Earhart, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud American veteran. Ron passed away surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and love.
Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Ron attended Centennial High School before going on to study at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. At the age of 17, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the U.S. Navy and becoming a highly decorated Navy SEAL. From 1958 to 1962, Ron served with honor in Laos and Vietnam, laying the foundation for a life of courage, discipline, and resilience.
After his military service, Ron brought his drive and vision into the business world. He played a key role in overseeing the opening of one of Santa Fe, New Mexico’s largest retail establishments, Crown Mart. Eventually returning to Colorado, he went into business with his brothers, forming Earhart Construction, where they specialized in stucco work and built a reputation for hard work and integrity.
Ron was a man of deep passion and curiosity. He was especially drawn to the historical and spiritual mystery and spent many peaceful hours fishing, hunting, golfing, and shooting. He loved animals and nature, known for feeding the squirrels and caring for his pets with the same tenderness he showed to those around him.
Stubborn and strong-willed, Ron also had an enormous heart. He loved fiercely and unconditionally, offering a steady presence and unwavering support to those lucky enough to know him.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Ruggles Earhart and Martha Jeannett Earhart, as well as his siblings: Beverlee June Anzick, Jeannette Lecliare-Rogers, Shirley Elizabeth Kochevur, John Newton Earhart, and David Ferrill Earhart.
