Ron was born in Nebraska, but raised in Colorado. He attended Highland High where he met the love of his life, Pam Herrera. After they both graduated they were married. He was working in a meatpacking plant until he decided he wanted a change of career. He then went into an apprenticeship program at IBEW Local 68 to become an electrician. His work as an electrician eventually led Ron, Pam, and their daughter, Megan, out east. They enjoyed several years in Massachusetts and New York before eventually feeling called back home to Colorado. He became a master electrician and hung up his construction hat to work fulltime at DIA in the electrical shop. While there he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from MSU (summa cum laude). As he got older, he and Pam liked to take trips to the mountains and spend time with their daughter and their dogs. He will be missed.
Ron is survived by his spouse, Pam Herrera; children Megan Greening, James Laughlin (son-in-law);
mother Harriet Greening; siblings Paul Greening (Vicki), Howard Greening, Randy Greening (Karen), Connie Patton, and Marianne LaRoca (Steve).
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Greening and his sister, Kay Doane.
