Richard P. Jaramillo of Commerce City, Colorado and formerly of Glendale, Arizona & Denver, Colorado passed away this pass Monday on April 29th. Richard was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado on March 16th, 1956. His parents were Maria Amaya Jaramillo and Margarito Jaramillo. Richard enlisted in the Army when he was 18. He served as a Medical Assistant in the service and at Colorado University in his early years. Richard also lived and worked in Garden City, Kansas. In his later years, he worked for Par, Electrical Contractors and as a Driver for Elite Logistics. Richard moved to Glendale, Arizona in 2015 to assist his wife as a Caregiver for his father-in-law.
Richard was blessed to have participated in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous for 23 years. Richard and Rosalie were married on June 30, 2010 and they spent their Honeymoon at the 2010 International Convention of A.A. in San Antonio. Alcoholics Anonymous was also celebrating their 75th Anniversary at this convention. He believed God came first, A.A. second and his wife, third. He was grateful for the friends and travels he received through his work in A.A. He loved sports and enjoyed watching his grandsons, granddaughter and numerous nephews and nieces participate in their different activities. Richard earned his wings and now we have another Angel watching over us.
Richard is survived by: his wife, Rosalie, his brother Jerry, sister-in-law Tina, nephew Gabriel, nieces Chelsea & Kristy, his brother Mark, sister-in-law Nicole, nephews Dash and Krue and stepfather Gerardo, his sisters-in-law Margarita & Christina and their families, brothers-in-laws Frank, Ignacio, Julian and their families and his daughter friends Rosalie Jr. and Rochelle, his grandchildren Marissa, Nate, Joseph and Arnold, his great-grandchildren Elisa, Adrian, Anna and Baby Nate and numerous Tias & Tios, cousins and great-nephews & nieces.
Services will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W. Ohio Avenue, Denver, CO 80219. Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM. A reception at Saint Anthony of Padua will be held immediately following the Mass.
