Peter Joseph Chavez

Peter Joseph Chavez Sr. age 78 died peacefully on January 25, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rebecca Chavez, and his brother Timothy Chavez. Survived by his sister Barbara, his brother Christopher Chavez and his four Children, Lyanne Marie Mondragon, Peter Joseph Chavez Jr (Judy Chavez) Julie Ann Chavez, (Robert Lucero) and Phillip Christopher Chavez. He had eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with many nephews, and nieces. A long-time resident of Thornton, Colorado. Graduated from Merritt Hutton High school in 1963, soon after served in the United States Coast guard from 1963-1967. Peter lived a simple life with a love for fishing and often enjoyed a day on the lake fishing with his friends. Peter had a love for life and always had stories to share with others. Peter loved his family, Children, and Grandchildren dearly and had lots of friends who all will miss him very much. Details for the celebration of life to follow.
