

Patrick Grew up in Huron, SD until high school, moved to Denver, CO and graduated from Machebeuf Catholic High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Army March, 1965, had fixed wing aircraft training and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged March, 1968 Patrick then attended Colorado Aerotech, worked in Leadville, CO at Climax Mine before moving back to Denver and worked at a Lumberyard.
Patrick met Barbara Ann Francisco and they got married on August 28, 1971. The couple then moved to Northern Colorado where he worked building prefab homes, then attended Aims Community College in Greeley earning an Associate degree in Building Construction. He established OrMac Construction Company with a fellow classmate and remodeled older homes primarily in Greeley. Eventually established Ormsby Construction and worked in Windsor mostly after moving there in 1974, and until he retired in 2008. After retiring, he drove Special need Children for Windsor School district RE-4 until 2018.
He was a sports fan that followed most of the Colorado teams avidly, enjoyed bird hunting (mostly pheasants); gambling and visiting neighbors and friends on his front porch of the house he built in 1994 and lived in until he passed away. He never met a stranger and visited with new people wherever he happened to be.
He was one of thirteen siblings and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Ormsby, his oldest brother, and an older sister. He is survived by his wife, other siblings and numerous nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
