Born December 6, 1938, in Mankato, Minnesota, Patricia (Pat) passed away on April 21, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado surrounded by the love of her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Pat’s love and warmth was felt by all who knew her.
Pat lived a life full of joy, laughter, and unwavering support for her family. She married Donald (Don) Marcotte in 1958 and welcomed daughter, Pamela, in 1959 and son, Scott, in 1961. The family moved to Colorado, bought their home in 1965, and made Arvada their home for the next 60 years. Pat was a homemaker and worked as a Patent Law Secretary.
Pat's zest for life and love of travel led her on many adventures throughout her life. Whether it was being the co-pilot on family flights back to Minnesota; catching fish on her shared houseboat at Blue Mesa Reservoir; road trips in her various campers and motor homes; taking ladies weekend trips with the women in her family; touring Washington DC; celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary in Costa Rica; or, relaxing as a snowbird in Arizona, Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Pat was a constant source of comfort and the true embodiment of kindness, love, and thoughtfulness. She took pride in hosting celebrations at her home and cooking for her guests. From birthday celebrations to Christmases, she would prepare a myriad of snacks, sweets, and delicious meals alongside dozens of thoughtful gifts she would make by hand or purchase. An avid cross stitcher, Pat stitched pieces for most holidays and life events, gifting them to loved ones.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless memories which are cherished deeply by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Brian Reusink; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lisa Marcotte; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Katherine (Ben) Friedel, Lauren (Melih) Cingilli, and Chelsey (Chris) Fleishman; great grandchildren, Mehmet Cingilli, Adaline Fleishman, and Emersyn Fleishman; sister, Nancy Lindgren, and many other notable family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Lillian Zins; and grandson, Jeremy Marcotte.
As the true matriarch of the Marcotte family, Pat will be missed dearly, but her spirit, kindness, and memory will live on in the hearts of those were fortunate enough to know her. The cremation was Saturday, April 26th, 2025, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date (TBD) to honor the life of Patricia Ann Marcotte.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor. If you wish to donate, please do so here: https://www.alz.org/donate
