She was born January 18, 1949 to Roy and Lena (Bovo) Watson, and was a life-long Colorado resident. She leaves behind Richard, her devoted husband of 48 years, her children, Layne Swanson (Greg), Kyle (Rennee), Ryan (Marketa) and Todd Daughenbaugh (Ashley) as well as her seven beautiful grandchildren: Logan, Aidan, Adam, Kylie, Kalel, Ryley, and Zara. Also mourning her loss is her brother Robert Watson (JoAnn), her two sisters Rosetta Pohle (Greg), and Penny Pierce, and all of her many wonderful friends.
Anyone who knew Patty, was struck by her love for her family, her passion for baseball, her talent of throwing a great party and her ability to make everyone she encountered feel welcome and cared for. When she wasn’t traveling the world with Richard, the love of her life, she could be found at a Colorado Rockies game keeping stats. Her encyclopedic knowledge of the game of baseball never failed to surprise and impress even the most die-hard baseball fans.
After 36 years of employment at Mountain States Employers Council, her celebration of life will be held August 10, 2019 at Employer’s Council located at 1799 Pennsylvania Street, Denver, Colorado at 1pm.
Her son, Ryan, and his wife, Marketa own an English language preschool in Prague - academymarina.cz. Patty loved this school and all of the children who have passed through its doors. She and Richard were known as Grandma and Grandpa to all the children. As an act of love and remembrance a new playground and garden will be built to honor and cherish her memory.
