Myrna Anne Been nee Linthicum 7/6/1938 - 10/20/2017 Myrna was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Mervin and Ruth Linthicum. Sibling to Jack, Maureen and Bonnie. Wife of Lewis L. Been. Mother to Lois, Gloria, Ruth and Gerry. Grandmother and great grandmother, her life was full of determination and grit. Always involved in social endeavors, she was a long time member of the Castle Rock Eagles Club, Director of the Salvation Army, and former Mayor for the town of Larkspur. Her focus was always on preservation and improvement, evidence being the Larkspur Community Park, a treasured project of hers. Myrna was undoubtedly a colorful member of the community and her doors were always open to those in need. She held a deep passion for crafting, learning new skills, and hand creating gifts for friends and family to mark special occasions. Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, to please donate to her memorial fund, so they are able to purchase a bench and plant a tree in her honor at the Larkspur Community Park, and serve as a reminder that the town she loved will always have a place for you to stop and rest.
