Linden R. Bransom, Jr. (a.k.a. Papa Lin, Captain Confetti), of Longmont, CO, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, creativity, and unwavering kindness. Born on July 6, 1945, in Dallas, TX, Linden was a beloved figure known for his colorful personality and sense of humor that never failed to bring smiles to those around him. His gentle demeanor and go-with-the-flow attitude made him a cherished friend and companion.
Throughout his lifetime, Lin had a variety of passions. During high school, he worked at Love Field with his father sparking his love for aviation, and in his retirement, he relished serving as a volunteer at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Later in his career, he created store displays for Sears and ultimately found his niche designing unique tradeshow booths for Exhibit Builders. During the holidays, he delighted countless children as a professional Santa Claus, a role he held dear. Linden also had a profound love for dogs, and his advocacy for the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas and other animal organizations reflected his generous spirit. An accomplished artist, he expressed his creativity through works on canvas and recycled materials, drawing inspiration from nature. Linden's passion for sailing, which began in his youth, continued into his later years, a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for the sea.
Linden was fortunate to have shared his life with two great loves, Norma Kay Carpenter Bransom and Maggie Goodwin. Maggie and Lin created cherished memories over the last 25 years of his life, particularly during their winters spent in Kiawah Island, SC, alongside their beloved dogs. Though he did not have biological children, Linden was beloved by his extended family, including numerous children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Linden R. Bransom, Jr. will be remembered for his boundless creativity, kindness, and the deep love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy of laughter, compassion, and artistic passion will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
