Lieda was born August 30 1935, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to James and Gladys Nygaard. In 1955 she married her beloved husband Duane, who predeceased her in 2020.
Lieda was a homemaker in Minneapolis, Minnesota until her family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1974, when Duane was transferred for work. There she continued taking care of her family until Duane retired. Upon retiring, she and Duane traveled extensively in their motor home, visiting each of the lower 48 states. Lieda was also predeceased by her brother James Nygaard; sister Janet Hauer; brother-in-law Jerome Hauer; and her daughter Patti Ann Wyka (Edward). Lieda is survived by daughter, Pamela; son, Michael (Jerri); granddaughter Michelle O’Neil (Nic); grandsons David Cybyske (Danielle), and E.J. Wyka; great grandchildren Aiden, Ava, and Addison O’Neil; and sisters-in-law Ardeth Carlstrom and Irene Nygaard.
