Kerry was born on June 4, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Jack and Dorothy Peterson. She grew up in Roeland Park, Kansas, where she attended grade school and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1972. After graduation, Kerry married her first husband, Bill Cashman, on August 26, 1972, and they moved to Colorado shortly after. Together, they welcomed three daughters: Corie, Jodi, and Heather, creating a loving home filled with memories. After her time with Bill, Kerry began a new chapter. In 1997, she met Kenny Olson, and they got married on April 3, 1999, starting a new journey of love and partnership.
Kerry lived life to its fullest, cherishing time with family, friends, and her grandchildren. She loved crocheting, cake decorating, and sewing for her loved ones, often creating cherished keepsakes. She also enjoyed camping trips every summer, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and most of all, she loved shopping! Kerry was also a devoted dog lover, always doting on her furry companions. Her wonderful sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her. She treasured traveling to Texas and Kansas to visit family, creating lasting memories.
