Julia L McCalla, age 87, passed away peacefully at Morningstar at Dayton Place Assisted Living. She was born in Chesapeake, Ohio in 1930 to Adrienne Lynn McCalla and Marjorie Kathryn Robinson. She was very close to her late sister, Billie and brother, Conard. Julia began playing piano at an early age and continued into her 80’s. Music, movies (especially Musicals) and reading were her life long loves. Julia married Jack Hart in June of 1954. Together they had a daughter and three sons. Teaching was her real passion, she taught in many different schools across her thirty plus years as an Elementary School teacher. After retiring from teaching she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her friends at Windsor Gardens in Denver. Julia is survived by her three sons, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and her best friend, Maxine. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Morningstar for their attentiveness and loving care over the last two years. In lieu of flowers, please donate generously to the Salvation Army this holiday season.
