1/1/1922 - 10/25/2018
Juanita Marie Perrine was born to Frank and Julia Perrine in Seibert, Colorado on 1/1/1922. She had two brothers and two sisters. She graduated high school in 1940 and met William (Chet) Jackson. They were married in 1942 and moved to Denver. They had four children, Julie, Jim, Bob and Ron. They raised their family in the North Denver neighborhood of Sunnyside, staying there for 59 years. Juanita worked for the Denver Public Schools part time and later for the State of Colorado in the Department of Revenue. She retired from the state in 1994. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and hand stitched many beautiful embroidered quilts. She loved baking, especially cinnamon rolls, a family favorite, and cookies for every holiday. Her grandchildren were always asking for her delicious cookies and candies too! She finished her last small quilt, all hand stitched, a few months before her move to Arbor View.
After her husband Chet died, she stayed at San Marino Retirement Community for 8 years, enjoying all the staff and friends and the entertainment there. She stayed busy with crafts, especially jewelry making classes, having many necklaces and bracelets to share. She had a strong and trusting Christian faith and read the Bible daily. She lived her life for Jesus and her family. Juanita moved to Arbor View Skilled Nursing in August of this year. She was loved by all who knew and cared for her.
Juanita was preceded in death by her mother and father, both brothers and sisters, her husband Chet, daughter Julie and son Jim. She is survived by her son Bob and his wife Theresa, and their children, by son Ron and his wife Paulette and their son. She is survived by many, many grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren; whom she was so proud of and happy to see. She is survived also by many nieces and nephews.
She was our Mom, always ‘Grandma’, adviser, mentor, great listener and very best friend. Both Bob and Ron and wives were with Juanita when she peacefully passed away. She had the love of Jesus in her heart and was ready to enter Heaven. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was such a very special person.
