She is survived by her son, John Millington, her daughter Gail Eberhart, grandson and great children.
Joyce was born in Shaftsbury, Vermont. She graduated from North Bennington High in 1950, during which, she was a member and participated in the “All New England Chorus”. Joyce met her beloved, Jack, when she jumped into his convertible as he was stopped at the traffic light in Shaftsbury. Their love story began in her beloved home of Vermont and continued as they relocated to Memphis, TN. in 1967. Joyce became a smiling figure in her community and church family. She continued her love of music and singing as a faithful member of the Sanctuary choir within the Raleigh United Methodist Church. Joyce loved to travel and became quite the “camper” as they visited all fifty states. In the later years, Joyce moved with her husband, Jack of 68 years, to Colorado to be closer to family in their “elderly” years. As Joyce’s health declined, she still would smile and always consider the needs of others.
No service date has been scheduled at this time, however, we would very much like to hear your memories and stories that you have of this gentle loving women, mother, wife, and friend.
Joyce will very much be missed and remembered for her smile of joy in our hearts forever.
