Joyce Margaret Bruxvoort

Joyce Margaret Bruxvoort passed peacefully and was taken home to her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 11, 2025. Like her husband before her, she leaves behind a legacy of steady faithfulness and consistent love.

Joyce was born in Edgerton, Minnesota on April 2, 1936, to Jake and Clara (Bolt) Van Essen. She grew up on the family farm and moved as a young woman to Denver, Colorado, where she met and married her sweetheart, Marvin Bruxvoort. They were married on July 8, 1960, and enjoyed 58 years together.

Joyce is survived by her four sons, Kent (Evelyn) Bruxvoort, Randy (Beth) Bruxvoort, Russ (Kerstin) Bruxvoort, and Gregg (Julie) Bruxvoort; grandchildren Kelsey, Griffin, Michael, Kyla, Hanna, Jakob, Emma, Seth, Amberlynn, James, and Gavin; great-grandchildren Liam, Madison, Cooper, and Lena; and brother Wesley (Jean) Van Essen.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, sister Ella (Van Essen) Kooiman, and brothers Henry, Raymond, Nelvin, Clarence, and Henry J. Van Essen.

She was an active member of Faith Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. She will be dearly missed as Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Joyce may be made to Heritage Christian Academy, Fort Collins.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00 am at Faith Church, 3920 S. Shields Street, Fort Collins.
