Joseph Michael Hajek Sr.

Joseph Michael Hajek Sr. of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 76 with his wife by his side. Joe was born on July 11, 1948, in Sidney, Nebraska. He grew up in a small community where he enjoyed working on their farm and helping with the family plumbing business.

Joe graduated from Chapman University with a master’s degree in 1994. He proudly served in the Army for over 25 years and contributed 20 years of service to the Department of Education.

Joe was actively involved with the Littleton Golf Club, DOGS, VFW, Elks club and the American Legions. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication and community involvement.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Peter Hajek, his mother, Delores Hajek, his son, Edward Hajek, and his brother, Alan Hajek.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy Hajek, his son, Joseph Michael Hajek Jr., and his daughter, MaryAnne Moore. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary and Cheryl, five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

As an avid golfer, Joe went on many trips and achieved five hole-in-ones, including one on Hole 5 at Littleton Golf Course. He loved traveling with his wife and enjoying a great drink.

Joe Sr. was a dear husband, father, golf buddy, and travel mate and will be dearly missed.
