Celebrating the Life of Jose Salazar Sr. It is with deep sorrow and loving hearts that we announce the passing of Jose (Joe) Sr, who left us to journey to his eternal home. A man of deep faith, vibrant joy, and an enduring love for the great outdoors, Jose lived a life as rich and beautiful as the mountains he loved so dearly.
A Passion for the Great Outdoors ~ Jose was happiest when he was surrounded by nature. Whether he was waiting patiently by a quiet river with a fishing rod in hand or tracking through the wilderness on a hunt, he found peace and purpose in the mountains. The high country was his sanctuary, and he shared that love generously with those around him.
A Rhythm in His Soul ~ If the mountains were his sanctuary, the dance floor was his stage. Jose was an exceptional dancer, moving with effortless grace and joy to the rhythms of New Mexico Spanish music. He could light up any room and bring a smile to anyone’s face the moment the music started playing. When he wasn’t spinning around the dance floor, you could often find him relaxing to the classic, storytelling sounds of country music.
A Devoted Servant of Faith ~ Above all. Jose was a man of steadfast faith. As a devoted Catholic his love for God was the foundation of his life. He didn’t just attend church; he lived his faith through action, frequently volunteering his time and energy to support his church community whenever he was needed.
Jose’s warmth, his dancing spirit, and his generous heart will be deeply missed by his family friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
