James Gillespie Steven

James G. Steven, 88, passed away of advanced Parkinson Disease on October 5, 2017. He was predeceased by his son James R. Steven and is survived by his wife Lynne, his children, Brian Steven, Kathy Causey, John Steven, Bob Larsen, Ian Steven, Elizabeth Jackson, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Jim lived and worked in Santa Barbara, California for many years before moving to Colorado. Jim enjoyed days at the beach in Santa Barbara, hiking and skiing the Colorado mountains, and a hot cup of coffee. He worked in the aerospace industry for most of his life and retired from Lockheed Martin. As a man of Christian faith, Jim was a loving husband and excellent father whose wishes were to pass away at home next to his wife and family. This wish came true and he will be missed dearly. His longtime request to have his ashes spread over the sea outside Santa Barbara will also be fulfilled by his family in the upcoming months. Jim was a home patient of Denver Hospice for the past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go to The Denver Hospice, 501 Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246 . A memorial Service will be at held at home 10/20/17. Special thanks to Denver Hospice, Chaplain Brian, Jim B., Cheri, Carol, Johnson, Samuel and all of the other wonderful caretakers & nurses at the Denver Hospice.
