
James was his mother's favorite wedding anniversary present. He spent the 1st few years in Ogden Utah. Then his parents moved to southern Ut. He grew up in Hurricane, Utah. He developed a lifelong love for his pets. First was a white mischievous cat. Later many well trained friendly german shepherds. He joined the military under age with his parents' approval. After an honorable discharge he lived in Ogden working at Mckay D Hospital setting up and servicing the heart - lung machine used for open heart surgery.
Working in the same department was Joan Pollestad who became his wife of 61 years. They moved to California where he obtained his Bachalors of Arts. He worked in photography, film, development, and printing. He was part of the team that worked in the Star Trek films in practical effects. They moved to Colorado establishing a photo and printing studio company where they produced finished photos from passport size up to an epic sized mural that was over two stories high.
James and Joan loved to travel the world. James was a pilot and would fly on some of these trips. James was a successful businessman, a good friend, brother, and loving husband. James loved flying, photography, fast cars, cooking gourmet meals, and most of all his wife Joan. James as Doc Suzz would say "We are glad you were born uniquely you not as a baked potato or a toad"
We all have a hole in our hearts as we say goodbye to a unique man. We are so glad to have known you.
James is predeceased by his parents Ashby and Wanda Hardy, His brother Kent Hardy, and his wife Joan. Survived by his sister Kathleen Pulsipher, Sister in law Kay Hardy and many nieces and nephews.
