Harold was born in Denver Colorado to Louise and Carl Griboski on January 23, 1940. Harold grew up in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood. He attended Manual High School where he was active with ROTC. After graduating in 1958 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served until 1961. In December 1960 he married Sharon Richards. Following his discharge, Harold and Sharon moved back to Colorado where he went to work for the Denver Public Schools and worked until retiring. Following his retirement, he remained active by fishing with his buddies and working part-time building car parts.
Harold was an active member of the Denver Roadsters Car Club since 1976. Harold built an award winning 1929 Ford Roadster. He owned The Polish Plum until he sold it to build a 1932 Ford Roadster.
In his later years Harold began to decline where he entered Assisted Living at Brookdale Roslyn where he was well liked by all.
Harold was proceeded in death by both his parents Louise and Carl, his wife Sharon, and son Jim.
He is survived by son Steve (Katie), daughter, Leslie, as well as grandchildren Dustin (Jennah), Vincent (Sofya), Johanna, Jesse, Jenna, Tyler and great-grandson Christian.
A memorial service for Harold will be held Friday November 8, 2019 at Cherry Hills Community Church, 3900 Grace Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 at 10:30 AM. A short reception will follow at the church. Harold will be then be interned with military honors alongside his wife, Sharon, and son, Jim at Fairmont Cemetery following the reception.
Weather permitting, Harold will take his final ride in Old Bell. It would be an honor for fellow Denver Roadster members and others to drive their street rods and classic cars.
