HAROLD R. CONLON Harold (Harry) Richard Conlon, 79, of Elizabeth, Colorado, passed away on February 3rd, 2017, in Parker, Colorado after a lengthy battle with cancer. A celebration of life remembrance will be held at a later date. Harry was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Harold V. Conlon and Irene Conlon on January 12th, 1938. He served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and later moved to Colorado with his family. He worked as an electrician for Mountain Bell Laboratories where he retired and took to the roads driving for Express Charters. He enjoyed driving the roads and relished many hours of hiking in the beautiful mountains. For leisure he was a “Rock Hounder”, piloted private planes which took him to wonderful places and bathed in the sun. He was well known for his love of washing his cars, the outdoors and traveling; especially to Hawaii. Harry was preceded in death by his son, Richard Conlon, his brother, Edward Conlon, and nephew Glenn Conlon. Harry is survived by his daughters Sharon Conlon and Theresa Gideon as well as his three granddaughters Mavianne Marshall, Amanda Gideon, and Shanni Pacheco who reside in Colorado; to include his extended family of Casey, Cameron and Cody who reside in Florida and many friends. Harry is also survived by his dear friend and “Brother” of 29 years, Mike Brown. If so desired; memorial donations can be made to St Jude Children’s research Hospital to help end childhood cancer. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Parker Adventist Hospital where they compassionately cared for Harry.
