I worked the Scout van with Gerry for about two years, it was always an adventure. He made me laugh and got me stressed out. Our best time is stopping for food. Gerry also taught me the dance, Cowboy cha-cha, that was so fun, I will never forget those nights at the Stampeded. I loved your laugh and smile, it made me laugh and smile.  Gerry you will always be in my heart, I wish I could have spent more time with you. R.I.P my friend.

We always thought Gerry was part of our family since we lived down the street in 1970. He did ride-alongs with Joe at the Denver Police Department and then later became a Denver Sheriff and worked with both our sons. He will be greatly missed.  Our family tradition instead of flowers is to plant a tree in his honor which will happen this Spring because we consider him family.  The Brown Family

I was Gerry's first Field Training Officer when he came to the DSD.  From the first time I met him, his infectious smile was a bright and shining light.  He was always kind, considerate and professional with the tough population we work with and a great person to be around.  God bless his soul and keep his family strong during this time.

Gerry was such a great guy to work with at the Denver Sheriff Department.  He was always smiling and was very easy to get along with.  Watching him play the drums at one of his gigs was always fun as well.  He will be missed, may you not be in pain anymore.  God Bless You.

We are so sorry about hearing of Gerry's passing. I spent many years on DSD working with Gerry Pound. He was a great officer to work with. He had compassion and humor and it was such an honor to work with. DSD lost a very great fellow officer. I wish we weren't so far away. I remember wanting to hear him play the drums-as I love the drums. I always wanted to steal his Challenger-h'mmm, I guess that is not a nice thing to say being a retired deputy with Gerry. I guess God needed him more than we did, but I know for a fact, we will see Gerry again when we see him in Heaven. I truly will miss him. To his family I will say I am sorry and just know he meant so much to so many people and was a true asset to DSD.
