Captain Gary Wayne Deulley, U.S. Navy Ret., passed away Saturday, March 29th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 73. Gary was born in Baltimore, MD on September 25th, 1951. He was the second son of Kenneth and Vilma Deulley, and was brother to Cliff Deulley. Gary moved around as a child, being in a military family, and moved to Topeka, Kansas where he met his high school sweetheart, Pamela, their junior year. He attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Naval ROTC program in college. Gary and Pam were happily married for over 52 years. Gary was a very prominent pilot in the US Navy, serving for 24 years and was stationed in Pensacola, FL, Bermuda, Jacksonville, FL, Oahu, HI, and Denver, CO before finishing his career as Captain in Washington DC. He flew several different types of helicopters and also flew the A-4 Skyhawk later in his decorated career. Gary and Pam had two children, Brian (Cindy) and Meagan (Chris). Gary also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Marley, Delaney, Landon, Ashlyn, Tanner and Carlyn. Gary was a loving family man, an avid golfer and loved everything about the ocean. He loved to swim, travel and spend time with his family. He was a very loved individual with a very large group of friends, family, colleagues and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church (3900 Grave Blvd in Highlands Ranch) at 1pm on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025.
