She was born in 1926 in Sunnyside Utah to Joe and Mary Scartezina. When she was very young, her family moved to Price Utah where she and her five siblings grew up.
Estelle married Morris Gilligan in 1946 and they moved to Denver Colorado a short time later. She raised 4 children and stayed active in her church.
Among some of her interests were bowling, golfing, sewing, playing bridge and working with stained glass. She was very creative and had incredible artistic capabilities. She often found clever ways to spend her time with her grandkids, like making root beer and sewing stuffed animals for them.
Estelle especially enjoyed preparing outstanding meals for her family and friends.
Her later years were enriched by her grandchildren Monica, Lynne, David, Lauren, Nicole, Sean, Megan and Brittany and her great grandchildren Colin, Drew, Brantley, Dorothy and Dustin.
Estelle was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Morris Gilligan in 2007. She is survived by her brother Ed Scott, her sons Ron (Mary Beth), Kevin and Jeff, her daughter Janis (Steve) Malkewicz and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
