

Born in the fall of 1938 in Minnesota, Tucker lived a life defined by service and hard work. As a young man, he worked diligently to make Eagle Scout before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. After completing boot camp, he was placed in the Marine Corps Reserve. He later graduated from the University of Minnesota and began his career in labor relations, eventually finding his stride in the manufacturing trades as a boilermaker and ironworker. After moving to Colorado, he took on a management role at Coors Graphic Packaging. After retiring, Tucker spent his later years in Naples, Florida.
It was Tucker’s final wish to spend his last days at home, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Tucker was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sheldon Kern II; his mother, Clementine Kern; his sister, Molly Zerbe; his nephew, Mark Foster; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Gratz and Charlie Foster.
He is survived by his sons, Edward “Ned” Kern and Steven Kern; his daughter-in-law, Robin Kern; his grandchildren, Steven, Jannika, Jessica, and Abigail; his great-grandchildren, Kaelynn, Raegan, Xavier, and Everly; his sisters, Andrea Foster, Karolyn Gratz, and Joanie Barrus; as well as his beloved nephews, niece, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
