Edmund I Manchego age 86 died peacefully in his home on July 26th 2017 with his daughter at his side. Preceded in death Buy mother Mary Espinoza, father Tobias Manchego, sisters Doris Manchego and Eurise Manchego, Brothers, Arthur Manchego; Robert Manchego and Garfield Manchego. Survived by Daughter Rene Manchego Adair, and granddaughter Natasha Manchego and Grandson Westley Manchego, and great granddaughters, Aaliyah Manchego and Lexi Manchego Fedak, and great grandson Erik James Hunt Manchego, and sister Mary Manchego, and many nieces and nephews. Edmund Manchego was a pioneer of Colorado and a longtime proud resident of Englewood Colorado. Edmund was a humble Man Who loved his family, Broncos, beautiful women, a hot cup of coffee, and an ice cold beer. Born on December 10th 1930 in Gardner Colorado, a small town in southern colorado. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War. Edmund worked for Gates Rubber Company for 40 years and retired with perfect attendance. He went to All Souls Catholic church every Saturday to reserve Sunday for his football and family. He like to go workout at the Englewood Recreation Center every Monday Wednesday and Friday. He also like to go to Blackhawk every once in awhile to gamble. He liked to ride his three-wheeler bicycle around the neighborhood and also down to his favorite bar. He liked reading his newspaper The Denver Post online but still received his actual newspaper on his front doorstep every day. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter Natasha and his grandson Westley grow up. He also enjoyed his 3 great grandchildren. He often would tell stories about his childhood growing up. If anybody has some stories to share we would love to hear them. Edmund was an amazing man he raised his daughter Rene since she was 8 months old all by himself. Not often was a child raised by only their dad back in those days. Edmund loved football. The Denver Broncos was his favorite team. Edmund Manchego will be missed greatly. If anybody has any contributions for funeral expenses there will be a donation box at the reception which will be held at the Full House Bar following the services there will also be a taco bar for everyone. The family would greatly appreciate it. The services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at All Souls Catholic Church at 4950 South Logan Street, Englewood, Colorado 80113. His ashes will be buried after the services at 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado 80236. Following the service at the Fort Logan, there will be food and beverages at the Full House Bar at 4272 South Broadway Street, Englewood, Colorado 80113.
