Most of Don’s childhood was spent growing up in Denver, Colorado where he
married Thelma Jean Francisco at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on October 13, 1956. Don also served in the United States Navy until honorably discharged on November 28, 1956.
After completing his apprenticeship on May 15, 1970, Don worked as a proud member of the United Association of Journeyman & Apprentices of the Pipe Fitting Industry and was awarded a 55-year membership certificate on September 13, 2021.
Don found the second love of his life in Reina Hess, with whom he had a long and cherished relationship until her passing in 2019.
Don is survived by his sister Darlene Moos of Wheat Ridge, CO, his three children, Brenda Salazar of Wheat Ridge, CO, Linda Dunn of Aurora, CO and Michael Brown of Denver, CO, five grandsons and two great grandchildren.
