Dean Leroy Herman, age 87, of Evergreen, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dean was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who lived a life filled with passion, joy, and love for those around him.
Dean was married to his beloved wife, Charlene, for 62 years. Together, they built a life full of memories, laughter, and unwavering support. He was the proud father of two children, Dean Jr. and Keri, and the cherished grandfather of Gunner and Gabbi. His family was always at the center of his heart.
Dean was a devoted teacher and real estate broker for years. Dean's love of life extended beyond his career. He enjoyed sports, fishing, traveling in his RV and riding his razor on the desert in Arizona, but it was his love of song writing and music that truly captured his soul. Alongside his brother Mel, Dean was part of the “Herman Brothers,” a duo that shared their love for the Lord, singing and playing guitars.
Dean’s upbeat spirit, unwavering faith, and infectious joy made him a beacon of light to everyone who knew him. He had a gift for making people smile, and his presence could brighten even the darkest days. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dean is survived by his wife Charlene, children Dean Jr. and Keri (Mike Schmid), grandchildren Gunner and Gabbi, his sister-in-law Janice Herman, his brother in laws John Wohlman, Jerry Wohlman (Alice), Gary Wohlman (Ruth Weidenkeller) and many other family members and friends whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
A Celebration of Dean’s Life will be held Saturday, April 12th at 10:30AM, Aspen Ridge Church, Evergreen, Colorado.
