David A. Martinez

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Amanda and Solomon Martinez; his younger brother, George and his maternal grandmother, Josephine Shockey (who raised him after his mother passed).

He is survived by his two sons, Jordi Martinez and Antton Mattern; sisters, Lucy Esquibel and Toni Romero (Abe); brothers, Solomon and Steven (Marlene) Martinez; loving aunts, Annetta Ornelas and Alvina Whittington and dear uncle, Roy Shockey. He was a loving uncle to Joseph Esquibel, Laverne Maes (Sam), Benji Martinez, Desiree, Franca, Toby, Steve, Jr, Claudia and Andrew. He was loved my many, many cousins, a couple he helped raise.

He had many dear friends and touched many hearts. Anyone who just met him would not forget him because he made them feel good and made them laugh. He was an avid fan (since very young) of the AFL football team, KC Chiefs. Win or lose he was a loyal fan to the end and would wear their colors proudly. He would dress in his KC Chiefs Santa Clause suit at Christmas time.
