David was born in Kansas City, KS on March 1st, 1948 to Margaret and Bill Brink. The oldest of 4 children, he made fond memories growing up in Olathe,KS with his siblings Nancy, Cheryl and Mark.
After graduating from Olathe High School in 1966, David attended K-State and then enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in South Korea and then Rhine Mein, Germany. After returning back to the states, he obtained a job with Gold Bond Building products, where he earned many accolades over the years. He later met his wife, Judy Bohman, and they had three daughters; Kristin, Kelly and Amber.
Following Gold Bond, he worked for Gypsum as a senior area sales manager before buying his own company, Drywall Supply Inc. in Loveland, CO in 2000. He spent many years in the drywall business and after semi-retirement, David continued to work for Colorado Drywall Supply which gave him a sense of purpose and he truly enjoyed the work he did and the friends he made.
In his free time, David loved spending time in the great outdoors. You could always find him playing 18 holes, fishing the beautiful waters in Wyoming or hiking a breath-taking trail in Colorado or Utah. In January of 2025, David moved to Grand Junction, CO to build a new home and enjoy all that the Western Slope had to offer. He quickly fell in love with the scenery there- especially the Book Cliffs. After his medical diagnosis in late January, he returned back home to the Front Range to be surrounded by family. They made the most of their precious time together and he especially enjoyed the wonderful memories made with his siblings who all came out to support him during this journey.
