Darrel Gene Aspaas

Darrel Gene Aspaas was born December 16, 1938, to mother, Geraldine Aspaas and father, Joseph Aspaas, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was the second child born in a family of twelve children and grew up in Renner, South Dakota.

He attended grade school in Renner, and graduated from high school in Baltic, South Dakota.

He married LeeRae Thompson on June 24, 1960 at West Nidaros Lutheran Church. They had three girls, Kelly (husband, Bill)—1964, Traci—1966, and Megan--1978. At the time of his passing, he was the proud grandfather of Payton Olivia, and Mia Violet.

Most of his working career was spent at McKesson Robbins and Wagner Caterpillar. He was an avid fisherman and golfer.

He belonged to St. Matthew Lutheran Church for 51 years and then All Saints Lutheran Church at his passing.

Funeral Services will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15625 E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80011, on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 pm.

He will be laid to rest in South Dakota at the Pioneer Cemetery, near Baltic, in June.
