Chris was a loving husband to Brant and a devoted father to Christina (Robert), Christopher, Joe (Desiree), and Jesse. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Shavon (Victor), Dominic (Ciara), Jason (Bree), Justine, Teyan, Javon, and Demetrius. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren Daniel (Esmil), Ellie, Zoey, Zizi, Gigi, Pauly, Joseph, and Taniya, and his great-great-grandchildren Mateo, Isabella, and Jeriah. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Linda, numerous family members, and countless friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Vickey, Emma, Frank, and Robert, daughters Eva and Brenda, and grandsons Donnie and Jojo. Though they are no longer with us, their memories remain forever in our hearts.
A deeply spiritual man, Chris was a beacon of strength and resilience. He taught everyone around him how to face life's challenges with unwavering faith. He had a passion for cooking and singing, and his BBQs were legendary, bringing the family together for joyous gatherings. His love for the Denver Broncos was contagious, and he shared this passion with his grandkids, often taking them to explore the beautiful outdoors of Colorado.
On May 10, 2017, Chris married Brant, and together they built a life filled with love and mutual support. They leaned on each other for strength, embodying the spirit of the song "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers: "Lean on me, when you're not strong, and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on." This sentiment resonates deeply with the family, as they continue to support and uplift one another in his honor.
Chris also loved the song "Tired of Being Lonely" by Al Green, which reflected the deep connection he shared with Brant. Their love and companionship brought solace and joy to each other's lives, showing everyone the power of love and togetherness.
Chris's love for writing, especially poetry, was another testament to his creative soul. His words will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew him in the years to come.
Though Chris has left this world, his love, wisdom, and the memories shared with him will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He was a pillar of strength and love, and his legacy will continue to guide those he left behind.
The family invites all who knew and loved Chris to join in celebrating his remarkable life. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Chris. You will always be loved and remembered.
