Charles R. Walsmith, 90, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on March 14, 2017. He was born on May 19, 1926, to Joseph F. and Florence O. Walsmith. He left South High School during his senior year in 1944 and joined the Navy. He served in the Pacific from 1944 to 1946 on the USS Beckham, the USS LCI, and the USS Trinity. After returning, he worked as a cable splicer for the telephone company while going to school to eventually earn his Doctor in Psychology. He subsequently moved to Belleview, Washington, where he had his own Gestalt practice and was a professor at Belleview Community College, until he retired. He returned to Denver in 2009, to be closer to his brother, Jack Walsmith, who predeceased him in 2013, and his children, Cynthia and Eric. He is survived by his daughter, Karen F. Fox, of Renton, Washington, his daughter, Cynthia A. Walsmith, his son, Eric C. Walsmith, his granddaughter, Kendra M. McClister, and his three great-grandchildren, Jace McClister, Cole McClister, and Kenley McClister, all of Denver, Colorado.
