Carol Ann Smith

Carol Ann Holm Smith, 84, passed away July 9, 2018. She was born on July 20, 1933 in Evergreen, CO, where she lived until high school. The family then moved to Golden, and later Wheat Ridge, where she met and married the boy next door. After starting a family, she returned to school where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. Carol taught third grade students in Eastlake and Thornton for twenty-one years before retiring. She loved hiking in the mountains, painting, and singing in the choir. She is survived by her husband, James O. Smith, three daughters and a son, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Church in Longmont, CO at 11am on July 17, 2018. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The Humane Society.
