Carol Jane Enman passed away in Colorado on January 8th 2025, with her children by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents Norman Enman and Mary Jane Matthews Enman, and her brothers Norm and David.
She is survived and greatly missed by her children Erik Myhren, Tor Myhren and Kirsten Rifkin. As well as her grandchildren Madison, Lacey, and Abigail Rifkin; and Reika, Aila and Elijah Myhren.
Ceej was born in Amherst Massachusetts, a small college town that helped inspire her love for literature. She graduated with an English degree from Wheaton College and went on to get her Masters from the University of Denver. She dedicated her life to helping others as a social worker and medical social worker. She was a great listener and gave wonderful life advice: to her patients, her family and her friends.
Ceej was a true original, a feminist before her time, and told it exactly the way she saw it. She wasn’t concerned with what others thought of her, and valued honesty and kindness over charm and money. Socially conscious, with a razor sharp intellect, Ceej did not bend on her principles.
She always met people where they were, to listen and laugh with her unmistakable dimple and quirky multi-pinned hat. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and never let them forget how much she cared. She was very simply, always there. She rescued many animals over the years, and showered them with love liked they were her own children.
We will think of her everyday, hear her in every breaking wave, and see her in every sunset.
