Bonnie was born at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego California; she lived to be 69 years old. She passed peacefully in her own bed on a crisp fall morning in Golden, Colorado. Bonnie is survived by her mother, four siblings, two daughters, and an abundance of friends and family. Bonnie was many things throughout her life but most importantly, she was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and even a great grandmother. Bonnie cared deeply for her family far and near. Bonnie's life was anchored by her siblings, creating a massive, multigenerational legacy of love and strength that continues to grow. In her later years she traveled through the states following her daughters and grandchildren from California to Texas and lastly to Colorado. She kept in close communication with all family no matter where they resided, it truly was the most impressive aspect of her love. Bonnie was often referred to as the baby whisperer, seeing her in action was truly a beautiful sight. The ease she had with children must have been perfected in her 20 year career in school age programs. Always putting others first was her most admirable tribute. Bonnie often insisted that she was rather shy although you could see her light up when the attention was brought her way. The confidence she showed was unmatched. A bit of a woman's woman, she always made sure her girls knew how strong they were. No one dares to mess with us because of it! When Bonnie retired she took up a new profound love for bird feeding and watching. To her surprise feeding the birds brought along a few unexpected furry friends which she ended up loving and caring for as well. Showing us all there truly was no stopping her love and kindness. It radiated from her. Bonnie was a bright light and she blazed through the world unapologetically. Leaving us all with a warm love in our hearts that will never fade. May she rest peacefully in our hearts forevermore.
