Tony was born on June 10, 1927 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Catherine Brognano. The first 83 years of his life, he lived in Homewood Junction, PA, in the same house he grew up in that was built by his father. He was an expert gardener, mechanic, TV repairman, handyman, fisherman and hunter. He met the love of his life, Helen Vigosky, at Mayer China at the young age of 16. Shortly after, he joined the Navy where he saw action in the Pacific Theater, on the USS Markab. After his return, he and Helen were married in 1948. Their daughter, Karen, was born in 1953. He retired as truck mechanic from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. In 2010, Tony and Helen moved to Colorado to be close to immediate family.
Tony was the beloved husband of the late Helen Brognano, loving father to Karen Molitor (John), loving grandfather to Kristin Meckenstock (Josh), Amanda Jandik (Jason), Great Grandfather to Karlie Meckenstock, Stella Meckenstock, Austin Jandik, Devin Jandik, and Noah Jandik.
Tony was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He always had a joke, smile, and helping hand. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the Longkutoy family, VA and the Denver Hospice.
