Angel worked at the Colorado Brick Company, Blue Heron Company and Eagle Trace Golf course and retired in 2003. He battled Dementia and Diabetes for many years but always found a way to stay active. Angel thoroughly loved the mountains of Colorado. Whether it was for fishing, camping, or taking a drive to Blackhawk to gamble this is what made him happy. He knew the road to the “hill” like the back of his hand. The fond memories of our family weekend trips through Nederland, Golden, or to Carter Lake riding in the back of his black ford pick-up truck that was his prize possession that no one else could drive. Who could forget his delicious steaks on the hibachi or bologna sandwiches hanging out at Eben G. Fine Park? One of Angel’s hobby was collecting aluminum cans. He would gather them from all over Boulder and fill up the back of his truck. It wasn’t about the money but getting out and exercising. In his younger years he was often mistaken for the famous singer Vicente Fernandez, especially when wearing his favorite cowboy hat. Angel was an avid Denver Broncos fan and never missed watching a game. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandkids even if he couldn’t remember their names all the time. Though he was a very private person or the quiet one amongst the crowd, he had a kind soul. Service Information Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 21 at 4 pm Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 900 W.
