Our last trip and it was a great one. Yellowstone obviously. I sure do miss his stories, his hootin & hollering. Nobody will ever bring the fun level up to where he did. Everything we did and everywhere we went was just plain FUN and full of laughter. Great memories! He was unique.

So sad to get this news.  Our relationship started out on a business level through CNA but over time became a valued friendship.  We shared many wonderful memories, laughs and experiences.  Including his visits to our fishing camp on the LA Gulf.  He quickly adapted to that life style.  Fishing, boiling crabs and shrimp- and of course drinking a cold beer.  Tom loved his family and he loved life.  He was a special person in our life.  Best to Carol and his family.  God Rest His Soul.  Bob Bush

We just became aware of Toms passing.  Sorry we are late in responding.  Our hearts are heavy.  Tom was a loved friend and business associate for many years.  He was the stew that stored the drink.  He made every one better.  Happier.  Comfortable and appreciative.  We shared many wonderful memories.  Working on insurance issues.  Playing golf.  Attending SEC Tournament in Orlando   And us teaching him how to catch speckled trout and reddish.  All the time with his patented smile and good nature.  A true fiend.  He will be missed. Betty and I have many happy memories spent with Tom and Carole. Ton and I first met at CNA over 40 years ago. As we progressed and climbed the corporate latter, we enjoyed many trips that the company provided. There was never a dull moment when Tom was around to entertain us with his wit and jokes. I remember the day of his retirement announcement when I asked him why he was retiring so soon. His answer will always stay with me, “I want to be happy”. And Tom WAS always happy. 
The four of us had so many fun and exciting times after retirement….England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia , etc. to name a few. We enjoyed the site seeing, the wine, and the golf.
We are so thankful for the gift of our relationship. His smile always  said everything. Tom will never be forgotten.❤️🍷

I thank GOD that I was given the pleasure of having you as my “other” brother,  friend, travel partner, advisor, and ball of laughs.You loved life so much and shared it with all. You were always the life of any party. Denise and I have numerous videos of times we shared an evening at home having dinner that turned into a laugh fest. You were one crazy guy. However there was also an extremely learned individual  with a Jesuit education you would never let us forget. In all, life was great with you and Carole being a part of it. Thanks for all the trips we shared together. We will never run out of laughs that we shared, fun trips and you never met a stranger.  There will never be another Tom Gill. The memories are many and varied. When we took a trip, you were already thinking of the next one on the way home. You were a loving, kind and gifted man.I admired your love for your family and siblings. Gone but never forgotten.

Too many memories to share but the picture of him in the blue shirt would be one of them since he is at “The Salty” in NSB, one of Tom’s favorite places to “let his hair down “ and let his hair down he did. We had  many great times there with  him and Carole. We never tired of his stories,  even after the 3rd or 4th time. Right now it is hard to imagine what  “life after Tom” looks like, although certainly not the same and definitely not as much fun. He was born to have fun and inspired fun in others. I never saw him mad or in a bad mood. Harvy and I loved him and even though there’s a whole in our heart and we are already missing him,  his laughter and shrieks  will come to mind time and time again as we review our numerous photos and videos. He was a great husband, father and  brother and a great friend. Love and miss you Tom.

There is a new a leprechaun in heaven on this St. Patrick’s Day, 
His suffering abated as loved ones lead the way.
The impish smile and  twinkly eyes are  glorious and bright,
As he dances, even races 
into the glorious light.
 For those  of us he left behind,
The world seems a little grim.
As we navigate the reality 
of life here without him.
Our world has lost some
magic and things will be too  calm, 
In the quiet of our lives without  our Captain Tom.
 But if we take the time each day to live and laugh  and love,  
Perhaps we’ll hear, within our hearts,  that giggle from above.

Tom was my hero. He was the biggest influence as respects to my insurance career. Without him, I would never have been as successful. Plus, he was one of a kind and one of the funniest people I ever knew. The world will miss him. Chris loved him too. She says she will never delete his fb page and will be reminded very year on his birthday that it’s time to party.

Tom was a delightful non judgmental person who did indeed enjoy being the Captain of any party. 
When I told my children of Tom’s passing they both responded that he always greeted them with a smile and  was interested  in how their lives were doing. 
On the several trips overseas together Tom truly enjoyed exploring every airport for special bars of interest and the past few years he really  loved showing to first time travelers all the high spots of his past visits. 
Rest easy Tom you made a lot of people happy while you were here.  I appreciated your friendship.

Dear Carol.  Judy and I were so saddened to learn of Tom's recent passing.  We each travel through life making friends along way, some of which resonate as something special.  You and Tom fit that mold as a couple.  While our time together with you two was not lengthy, it was a special time in our lives.  Tom' s unique sense of timing in re-telling his favorite 'boudreaux' stories often had us in stitches.
