Thomas Diehl 65, beloved husband of Jeanne Diehl (LeClair) passed away November 12, 2017 at his home in Barefoot Bay, Florida. He was born August 19, 1952 to Leo William and Mary Theresa (Carnes) Diehl in Boston Massachusetts. He leaves behind his love of his life, Jeanne Diehl. Tom also was survived by his brothers; Charles (Susan) of Bonita Springs, Florida, Christopher (Kerry) of Dedham, Massachusetts and his sister, Eileen of Satellite Beach, Florida. He will be loved and missed by his nephews; Christopher and Jacob of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his niece Allison of Dedham, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his beloved cats, Tiger, Sam and Millie. Tom's gallant efforts were admired by both family and friends through out his illness. Tom worked at Boston College in the facilities department for nearly thirty years as a mail clerk. He enjoyed everything sports related, especially baseball. In addition, he enjoyed swimming, horse racing, golfing, walking and reading. A Celebration of his Life is scheduled in Dedham, Massachusetts on December 1, 2017 at the Chateau Restaurant on Route 1 in Norwood. Although tears may be shed, Jeanne and Tom would be disappointed if the atmosphere was not upbeat. A funeral mass is planned at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Micco, Florida on December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the church hall. Tom would like those attending the event(s) to come dressed in baseball shirts, hats, etc. as it is the sport he loved the most and he wants it to be casual. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to The Special Olympics. ~
