Richard Leroy Beattie passed away the 2nd of March, 2022 in the Altamonte Springs Hospital at the age of 55. Richard was born in Groton, Conn, where his father was stationed with the US Navy. He has been a resident here in central Florida since he was a teenager. He attended school in Winter Springs. After a few part time jobs, he then became involved in the printing field. He apprenticed with several print shops and was hired at American Heritage Press, which he later purchased and ran for over 20 years. Richard was very strong in his faith and family involvement. In his early years he enjoyed teaching adult Sunday School. He was an avid motorcycle rider, outdoorsman, and prankster to challenge the best of them. Richard was no doubt a fighter as he battled and beat his cancer, he was a lover as he deeply cherished the time with the ones closest to him, and arguably a man of wisdom that has been taken to soon.
Richard is survived by his wife Carissa; his father David Beattie and step mother Elizabeth, step father Richard McCarty and his children - Kyle and wife Paige, Caleb and wife Nicole, Katie, Kristen, Clayton, Conner and Colton along with his granddaughters, Maci Jo and Emma Grace.
