Nancy Lou Vert of Auburndale, Fl passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Nancy was born on August 22, 1944, in Standish, Michigan to Dorothy May (Neiman) and John Henry Hernden. She spent her childhood in AuGres, Michigan with her mother, her stepfather Louis Duby and sister Susan, later moving to the Flint area for many years before retiring to Central Florida.
Nancy was married to the father of her children, Dale Threehouse and married Robert Vert in July of 1985.
Nancy worked for the State of Michigan Department of Social Services, retiring in 1997. Though she retired, she continued to work for Signet Jewelers, and Walt Disney World spreading joy and love to all she connected with. During retirement she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in her RV. In the last few years, she realized her dream of breeding West Highland White Terriers bringing the joy of Westies to others!
Nancy’s home was open to all and once she loved you, you were one of hers for life. She loved her family and her friends, her puppies, traveling and Mickey Mouse.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Paula, stepdaughter Dorothy and daughter-in-love Julie and sister Susan. She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren Danielle and Johnathan, and her great grandchildren Ian, Hunter, and Simon.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son David, and many dear friends.
Per her wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Those wishing to make a contribution may do so to the charity of their choice. The charities closest to Nancy’s heart were St Jude’s Children Hospital (www.stjude.org), and the ALS association (ALS.org).
